How did you learn about Usher Photography and why did you choose to have your senior portraits taken there?

Both of my sisters went to Usher to have their senior pictures taken and they loved every single one of them. They enjoyed the shoot itself and had a great time. My mom and them had a really difficult time picking photos because they liked every single one. So since my mom liked his work so much she took me to have him take my photos.

What did you like about Usher Photography that you didn’t see in portraits from other studios?

I liked how close attention he paid to the little details to make the photos look that much better. He is definitely a perfectionist that knows exactly what he’s doing. He makes your portraits unique compared to other photographers who do mostly the same stuff for each client. He also has more sets and technology that separate him from other photographers making your photos that much better.

Often times guys aren’t that into getting their pictures taken. Do you think it was worth the time to come to a professional studio for your senior portraits? Why?

It was definitely worth the time because Usher makes the shoots fun, he’s a laid back and chill guy that doesn’t make the shoot boring. He kept me moving and engaged and I actually wouldn’t mind going back for another shoot sometime.

How did Usher help you relax and look your best for your portraits?

He showed me what to do and what would look best which made it easy to go along with. Plus he was also very sociable and the environment he has at his studio is welcoming to be easily relaxed at.

We tried a lot of different sets and effects during your session. What are you looking forward to seeing the most?

I’m most looking forward to seeing my hockey pictures and the spirit boy pictures because those were fun to shoot. I also liked the old factory set where I shot, the setting was cool and I bet it looks great in the pictures.

THESE NEXT TWO ARE FOR YOUR PARENTS ONLY

Our service is just as much about the experience as it is about the portraits. Describe your experience, as a parent, during the session.

Usher was thorough with how everything works and told us everything to expect. No hidden surprises or costs!

What would you tell another parent who are considering senior portraits with Usher Photography.

As a parent, I highly recommend Usher, he’s professional, he designs each photo session to the individual, and is very creative.

Is there any other comments you would like to make?

I look forward to using Usher in the future!

You’ve got a lot of choices when it comes to senior portraits. What was it that made you choose Usher Photography over others in your area?

I’ve seen older students photos from Usher Photography and I really like the type of photos he takes, all of the different backgrounds he uses, and the editing he does.

Were you nervous about getting your portraits done? What did Usher do to help you feel comfortable during your session?

I was a little nervous because I didn’t know what it would be like, but Usher made the atmosphere very comfortable by making jokes and funny comments.

Tell us about the variety of sets and lighting effects both in-studio and outdoor that Usher Photography offered.

I was so impressed with all of his sets and lighting effects; there were so many unique backgrounds, settings, and back drops to choose from that compliment you and your clothing.

Attention to detail is very important in getting the best senior portraits. How did Usher pay special attention during your session?

Usher always asked me if I liked what he was doing or a background that we were using. He paid attention to every detail in the photo and if something was off he would make sure to retake the picture until he got it just right.

Did you feel like your session was tailored to fit your style and clothing selections? Tell us how.

I felt that my session was perfect for me because he chose backgrounds that matched with my selection of clothing which brought out my personality. Also, I’m a gymnast and Usher made sure to incorporate that into my session.

What was the most fun part about your senior portrait session?

The most fun part was definitely my “top model” pictures because I loved my outfit for that, I loved the all white background, and the fan blowing my hair everywhere!

THESE NEXT TWO ARE FOR YOUR PARENTS ONLY

Getting your student’s senior portraits done can be stressful. How did Usher help you feel confident about your decision to bring your son/daughter to his studio?

He sat down with us and explained the process, his background and experience, and made sure that we understood everything before beginning the photo session.

What suggestions would you give other parents when they are choosing a senior portrait photographer?

Look for someone with a lot of experience, and who can make your son or daughter’s personally shine thru to the photo.

Is there any other comments you would like to make?

Usher was very professional, pleasant, and funny all at the same time which made for a wonderful photo session for my daughter.

How did you learn about Usher Photography and why did you choose to have your senior portraits taken there?

I heard about Usher from my girlfriend who had her pictures taken there.  I had a chance to see her pictures before I had my appointment and I really liked them.

What did you like about Usher Photography that you didn’t see in portraits from other studios?

Mr. Usher was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable.  I liked all of the variety of locations and backgrounds that I saw on the website.

Often times guys aren’t that into getting their pictures taken. Do you think it was worth the time to come to a professional studio for your senior portraits? Why?

Yes, I do feel it was worth it.  Working with someone who knew what they were doing made the experience very easy for me.

How did Usher help you relax and look your best for your portraits?

Mr. Usher was good at joking around and that put me at ease.

We tried a lot of different sets and effects during your session. What are you looking forward to seeing the most?

I am looking forward to the outdoor pictures the most.

Our service is just as much about the experience as it is about the portraits. Describe your experience, as a parent, during the session

Matthew and I had a great experience at Usher for his senior pictures.  Tom did a great job making Matthew feel comfortable, not self conscience in front of the camera.

What would you tell another parent who are considering senior portraits with Usher Photography.

One of the things that made an impression on me was that it was NOT high pressure sales.  The brochure explains your options and those are reviewed in the meeting but I did not feel any pressure from the sales side.

Is there any other comments you would like to make?

Girls change their hair and their clothes a lot for pictures, the boys aren’t really that interested in all of the different outfits, etc.  Usher Photography did a good job of giving my son a lot of variety of shots and backgrounds.

What high school do you attend?

Twinsburg High School

You’ve got a lot of choices when it comes to senior portraits. What was it that made you choose Usher Photography over others in your area?

I liked how there was such a large variety in the picture atmospheres. The outdoor ones looked so natural, yet the in studio ones were so high fashioned. It was a lovely mixture.

Were you nervous about getting your portraits done? What did Usher do to help you feel comfortable during your session?

I was very excited to get my pictures taken. However, Usher went well above my expectations. He sat with us before the session and just talked to me about school, life, hobbies, and interests.  It was so personalized and welcoming! I couldn’t have imagined anything more inviting!  Plus, he had chocolate in the changing room; that was phenomenal.

Tell us about the variety of sets and lighting effects both in-studio and outdoor that Usher Photography offered.

We started outside and the sets were very natural and had a rural feel to them. It was the perfect “outdoorsy” setting. When we went back inside, it was completely different. The backdrops and lighting were the effects seen in high fashion magazines.

Attention to detail is very important in getting the best senior portraits. How did Usher pay special attention during your session?

Usher made sure all the pictures would look stunning. From fixing hair, to moving my chin a fraction of an inch, to telling me to go comb a section of my hair, I knew that he was concerned with every little detail.  It was wonderful.

Did you feel like your session was tailored to fit your style and clothing selections? Tell us how.

I did feel my session was fit to my style, especially regarding my hobby.  As a baton twirler, I’ve experienced so many photographers that have no idea how I should be “posed” and what to do with the baton.  Usher did so much with lighting and actual twirling that I know it was tailored to me.

What was the most fun part about your senior portrait session?

The baton session was the best.  Usher did so many unique things. I’ve been photographed a lot for twirling, but this was the most entertaining photo shoot I’ve ever done. I know the pictures will be unlike anything I’ve ever had before.

THESE NEXT TWO ARE FOR YOUR PARENTS ONLY

Getting your student’s senior portraits done can be stressful. How did Usher help you feel confident about your decision to bring your son/daughter to his studio?

The initial call made me feel comfortable. Tom wanted to learn about my daughter. I could tell he was already putting ideas together for the photo shoot. He gave suggestions about outfits and props as well.

What suggestions would you give other parents when they are choosing a senior portrait photographer?

Parents need to make sure they are comfortable with the photographer. If they just make an appointment and don’t spend time educating you, keep looking.

Is there any other comments you would like to make?

Tom made the photo shoot fun, interactive and creative. A true artist at work.

Goofy Deanna

What’s your name?

My name is Deanna.

What’s your high school?

I attend Archbishop Hoban High School.

Why did you come to Usher Photography for your portraits?

My cousins both did their senior portraits with Mr. Usher and my parents and I LOVED how they came out!

What did you like about our photography that you didn’t see in portraits from other studios?

I liked how Mr. Usher’s pictures aren’t extremely posed and fake-looking. His edits seem slight which makes the picture look more realistic to me and his props aren’t completely cheesy either…I want a picture that actually looks like me, not some crazy model that’s totally edited.

How would you describe your photo session?

The photo session with Mr. Usher was really fun! He was a really nice, funny guy. I was comfortable taking pictures and being myself around him. I love that he had all kinds of products in the bathroom that a senior might need when taking pictures. He even had hot chocolate for me and coffee for my mom!

If you could do your session over again, what, if anything, would you do differently?

If I could re-do the shoot, I would probably ask to take a few more goofy pictures, but other than that I would’t change a thing!!

You may have seen some senior pictures taken by someone with a nice camera but who isn’t a full time photographer. Comparing them to yours, what advice would you give to an upcoming senior who may think a senior snapshot is “good enough?”

My advice to a senior who thinks “snapshots” are good enough would be to check out some of Mr. Usher’s pictures and then see if they change their mind.

What kind of unique product did you see at the studio that interest you?

I thought the circular light mirror was SOOO cool! I also really liked how you could order phone cases and photo albums of your desired pictures.

Also, I just want to thank you Mr. Usher, the shoot was really cool and fun!!

THESE NEXT TWO ARE FOR YOUR PARENTS ONLY
